The big picture
Pusheen's Place gives you a collection of cats and then asks where all the cats should live. This is how a modest decorating project becomes an increasingly specific commitment to tiny furniture. A room that was perfectly adequate a moment ago may no longer suit Pancake Pusheen, and suddenly that seems like a reasonable problem to spend time solving.
Developed by Lively and published by Electric Square Ltd, the game launched in full on October 1, 2026, through Apple Arcade. Apple identifies it as the first officially licensed Pusheen game. Earlier store build dates and copyright labels are not earlier public releases. It supports iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and compatible Apple Vision devices, giving the same cat-filled domestic project several possible screens to occupy.
Reasons to look closer
Collecting, caring, decorating and minigames support one central idea: make a home for Pusheen and her many variations. That gives an unlock something to do after you acquire it. A collection can grow numerically while remaining impersonal; arranging rooms around its inhabitants gives those additions a setting you have chosen.
The character variations make that idea easy to understand. Pusheenicorn, Laptop Pusheen and Pancake Pusheen communicate their differences without requiring an encyclopaedia of lore. You can form a preference quickly, which matters in a game asking you to care about a large assortment of related creatures. Some will have elaborate collection ambitions. Others will correctly decide that a pancake-shaped cat is already sufficient motivation.
The domestic scale is part of the attraction. There is no need for a world-threatening emergency to justify a new cushion. The room can be worth improving because you like it and the cats belong there. Players who enjoy making a small scene feel right have a clearer reason to investigate than those who need constant external pressure to keep decorating.
The sofa is part of the collection
The App Store listing describes more than 100 collectible Pusheens and over 200 craftable decorations. Themed rooms attract and accommodate different cats, linking the inhabitants with the spaces around them. The catalog supplies possibilities, though its size alone cannot determine how much you will enjoy arranging them.
A café-like room or a cosy cabin gives a collection a particular atmosphere. You can care about how the pieces belong together rather than treating every item as a step towards an efficient total. That is a pleasant ambition for people who would rather perfect a tiny corner than calculate the strongest available build. The sofa's contribution is emotional, and it seems unreasonable to demand more from it.
Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary tiers give completion-minded players a hierarchy to pursue. They can also encourage a less personal relationship with the rooms, where rarity becomes more important than liking what you have collected. The more appealing approach is to keep your own preferences involved. A cat need not have the most prestigious label to deserve the best seat.
A puzzle break from moving cushions
Snack Stack, Parfait Pop and Batch Match supply different puzzle activities, built around stacking cakes, popping fruit bubbles and matching treats. Their food themes fit the surrounding world, giving the decorating something to alternate with rather than feeling like three unrelated distractions that wandered into the house.
The two kinds of activity ask for different attention. A puzzle presents a local decision with an immediate result. A room can remain a longer-term project, ready for another small adjustment whenever you decide that something would look better on the other side. Moving it back later is also a perfectly legitimate stage of the creative process, however unwilling you are to admit it.
That mixture is strongest when both halves interest you. Someone looking for a substantial standalone puzzle campaign may find the collection doing too much of the motivational work. Someone who enjoys the cats and the home has a reason to welcome a change of activity between decorating decisions. The minigames belong to that broader routine.
The cats expect more than a display shelf
Feeding, petting and playing make the collection a care-taking fantasy as well as a decorating project. The inhabitants have a place in your routine, rather than existing solely as proof that you unlocked them. That gives their rooms a purpose beyond looking complete in a screenshot.
It is an approachable idea for existing fans and readable for newcomers. You do not need to study a complicated fictional history to understand why a cat might appreciate attention. The game can offer familiar comforts without pretending the activity is something more dramatic than looking after a very charming collection.
Apple Arcade means no advertisements or in-app purchases, while the subscription remains necessary for access. That removes the possibility of each new adorable discovery being accompanied by its own purchase prompt. Controller support is listed, and Apple's release catalog confirms the October 1 arrival across the supported Apple context.
Pusheen's Place is most inviting as a home you can shape around characters you actually like. The puzzles provide activity, care provides routine and decoration gives the whole collection somewhere to belong. If those modest ambitions appeal, there is a clear reason to make room. Probably more room than you originally intended. The cats have been looking at the furniture.
